FESTA‘s Halloween Haunted House and Compagnia delle Seggiole‘s Viaggio Teatrale in none other than Florence’s Vasari Corridor gave Mr MoJo a chance to try his hand as tour guide. He was ‘the Undertaker’ for FESTA in the Corsini stables, caretaking some gaulish young folk, while for the Ufizzi event he plays Giorgio Vasari himself. A photography ban in the Corridor makes photos rare. If you were one of the naughty ones taking clandestine pix,  post them here (anonymously of course;)

The Marvellous Mr MoJo Magic English Show © is an educational form of entertainment developed by Garth Laughton for young learners of English all over the world. It has recently been presented in numerous schools throughout Italy with enormous success.

The Show

Imagine!: One day, a magician comes to your school and waves a magic wand. Suddenly all of your children are interested in learning English. In fact, they really enjoy it. Enthusiasm abounds. Of course, all of this sounds unbelievable, doesn’t it? Too good to be true. But it actually happens with The Marvelous Mr MoJo Magic English Show.

For one hour the audience is delighted by comedy and magic. And despite the “full emersion, mother-tongue” approach, the children soon forget they are hearing and responding to a foreign language. By the end, they have understood and enjoyed the show completely. There confidence with and enthusiasm for English are increased no end. The show has been developed in strict relation to the Common European Framework. Language content includes: present simple, present continuous, simple past, future, adjectives, comparatives, superlatives, pets, colours, hobbies, parts of the body, depending on the level of the audience. Mr MoJo has vast experience in both the fields of entertainment and teaching English as a foreign language. The Marvellous Mr MoJo Magic English Show is the result of two years of development and has successfully toured schools around Italy.

A lime night requires a few amici, bars and a city, a camera, a night, and, most importantly, a lime…

Ashbobt is the child with an enormous brain, behind this ‘organic happening’. As with many good things, it started by accident and developed rapidly into a socio-artistic experiment, faithful to the old clichè that anything can be art (even a night on the town). Many of the fotos were conceived before I climbed on board, but I’ve taken the liberty of showing them cos they’re…well…they’re pretty cool, aren’t they.
